This is a stainless steel front rack that is perfect for a handlebar bag. The decaleur (bag mount receiver) is integrated into the rack platform. The advantage to this system is: your bag-decaleur-rack combination is more solid, lighter, and less likely to rattle. Integration is the Holy Grail of Constucteur-style bikes, and we feel that these racks are a big step in that direction.
All VO racks are made from polished tubular stainless steel, so they will never rust, flake, and can be re-polished to a mirror shine even after years of use. As with our other racks, there are light mounts on the side of the platform. The platform is 20.5 cm long and 10.2 cm wide.
Most traditional style handlebar bags work perfectly with this rack (any bag around 20cm tall), but very tall bags may need a longer bag mount. If you plan on getting into offroad exploration, we suggest using a toe strap on the bottom of the bag to ensure it says put over the rough stuff.
If you are getting a custom frame made, we suggest sending the rack to the builder beforehand.
This rack requires the use of cantilever brake bosses. Use our Randonneur Front Rack with Integrated Decaleur if you don't have cantilever brakes.

Dies ist ein Frontgepäckträger aus Edelstahl, perfekt für eine Lenkertasche. Der Decaleur (Taschenhalterungs-Aufnahme) ist in die Trägerplattform integriert. Der Vorteil dieses Systems: Die Kombination aus Tasche, Decaleur und Träger ist stabiler, leichter und klappert weniger. Integration ist der Heilige Gral bei Constructeur-Fahrrädern, und wir sehen diese Träger als großen Schritt in diese Richtung.
Alle VO-Gepäckträger bestehen aus poliertem Edelstahlrohr, sodass sie nie rosten oder abblättern und auch nach Jahren der Nutzung wieder auf Hochglanz poliert werden können. Wie bei unseren anderen Trägern gibt es seitlich an der Plattform Halterungen für Lichter. Die Plattform ist 20,5 cm lang und 10,2 cm breit.
Die meisten traditionellen Lenkertaschen passen perfekt zu diesem Träger (jede Tasche mit ca. 20 cm Höhe), sehr hohe Taschen benötigen aber eventuell eine längere Taschenhalterung. Wenn du auch im Gelände unterwegs sein möchtest, empfehlen wir, an der Unterseite der Tasche einen Riemen zu verwenden, damit sie auf holprigem Untergrund sicher an Ort und Stelle bleibt.
Wenn du einen Rahmen nach Maß anfertigen lässt, empfehlen wir, den Gepäckträger vorher an den Rahmenbauer zu schicken.
Dieser Träger erfordert Cantilever-Bremssockel. Verwende unseren Randonneur-Frontgepäckträger mit integriertem Decaleur, wenn du keine Cantilever-Bremsen hast.
