Top of the line Raleigh steel bike in the 1989 cataloge, belongs to the leightweight section which was produced in the Carlton Workshop where the development and research center was headed and all the team bikes have been made, this handmade frame is for braze-on shifter or cable stops, has got a pump holder brazed to the head tube and a chain holder brazed onto the right seat stay, there are two bottle cage mounts, the bottom bracket Lug is SR furthermore the head lugs are hand painted by Raleigh in a light gray, left seat stay mirror is marked with the post code of the original owner, please note this bike was originally build up with a 7-speed Shimano Sante groupset therefore a headset with low stack height of about 33 mm was used, take in mind Shimano during that period used very low stack heights compared to the more common height of +- 40 mm/

Hochwertigstes Raleigh Stahlrad aus dem 1989er Katalog, gehört der lightweight Sparte an welche im Carlton Workshop gefertigt worden sind, dort wo auch das Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum war und alle Teambikes gefertigt worden sind, dieser handgefertigte Rahmen hat Anlötsockel für Schalthebel oder Zuganschläge, einen Pumpenhalter am Steuerrohr angelötet sowie einen Kettenhalter an der rechten Sattelstrebe, er bietet zwei Befestigungsmöglichkeiten für die Montage von Flaschenhaltern, die Tretlagermuffe ist SR und die die Steuerrohr Muffen sind in hell grauz Hand bemalt von Raleigh, der linke Sattelstrebenspiegel ist mit der Postleitzahl des ursprünglichen Besitzers markiert, bitte beachte dass dieses Rad im original Zustand mit einer Shimano Sante 7-fach Gruppe aufgebaut war und somit einen Steursatz mit einbauhöhe von ca 33 mm hatte, bedenken sie also dass Shimano zu der Zeit sehr niedrige Einbauhöhen verwendet hat verglichen zu den üblicheren +- 40 mm
